I don't think that will work in AFPDS...it works is SCS as the printer is
dumb and will print the line twice.

AFPDS is too smart for that.

HIGHLIGHT should work, but there is a catch:
"For files created with DEVTYPE(*AFPDS), this keyword applies only to
registered font IDs. If
HIGHLIGHT is used with a coded font or character set and code page, a
message is issued. See
Appendix D of the IBM infoprint fonts: Font summary book for a listing of
font IDs."

The other alternative is to code the field to use a bold font.
