Here's my final(?) solution...

I created a shortcut on the user's desktop that ran the command-line version

"C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe -jar "C:\Users\username\IBM\ClientSolutions\acsbundle.jar"

When run, this opens the ACS pgm and allows the user not only to download to a File, but also directly into an open Excel sheet. I kid you not! (I'm not good enough to make this one up.)

I feel like it's a bit of a Rube Goldberg but at this point, who cares? It works!
