You are dreaming :)
You cannot use your PC storage for the image catalog. You can however put the images on to the iSeries IFS directory and add to your image catalog. Put the images directory in the image catalog IFS directory ADDIMGCLGE IMGCLG(PTF) FROMFILE('/PTF/IMAGE1.ISO') TOFILE(*FROMFILE)

Binary FTP works well. SCP if you have a SSH server running.

Subject: Loading Image Catalog

Hi,

Is it possible to load an image catalog remotely?
That is, I've got the .iso or .udf file on my PC, haven't burned a DVD,
but want to use LODIMGCLG (thus cutting out burning a DVD on my PC and
mailing it to the corporate office).
Presuming I can share my PC drive, can I get the IBM i to load the image
catalog from my shared drive?
Am I dreaming?
