You are correct, it is a Windows Networking print share. It sounds like there's not an reasonable way to change the existing print device to work. I guess I'll have to try a remote outq. Remote outq's are our standard print queue, and we only use a system device when there's a compelling reason to do so. I have no record why this one is set up as a print device. I guess I'll have to just try and see.

Unless things have changed, to expose a printer for LPR, all you have to do is share the printer and open the LPR port (515).
