A year ago you could have uses TSM on IBM i. Slow yes, unresponsive yes,
but it did work. Now that has been discontinued.

So as Larry pointed out since it's not supported, you would not be able to
recover from it, No it won't work.

The solution should mimic a 3584 tape library. There are better options
for Virtual Tape out there than an iSCSI attached anything that will in the
end wind up more cost effective and actually allow for a recovery.

Larry and I both use ETI-SPHiNX and there are a couple of other vendors as
well.
