Aha, understood! I'll send a savf to you.

There is value in using your object from 7.2.
There are two ways that this could be improved.
- Fix DSPMOD so that it shows stream file information and you do not need
to recompile your 7.2 mods.
- Fix CRT...MOD so that it stores the stream file information in it's
object. Recompile necessary.

Understand the difference?

Rob,

Thanks for your your offer, and certainly I can do that but I think it
will
not make sense since my object is compiled against 7.2.
I feel we are talking on different channels.

What I'm curious for is whether the info about source streamfile is in the
object info. And I do not mean the source of the binder source, but I just
mean the program or module source.
The option to compile a program or module from an ifs source has been
there
for years, but on my 7.2 TR3 I don't see it back in the module info via
DSPMOD or through DSPPGM and then the module info.
I'm curious if that has been added in 7.3.

Can you email a module created with binder source to my account (not the
list)?
SAVOBJ OBJ(MYLIB/MYMOD) TYPE(*MODULE) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(MYLIB/MYSAVF)
and I'll restore it on a 7.3 system and take a look at it.

And what about DSPMOD? Does it show the source stream file item?

2016-05-26 14:55 GMT+02:00 Rob Berendt <rob@xxxxxxxxx>:

I stand corrected. I was looking in the wrong area

Service program creation information:
Service program creation date/time . . . . . . . : 07/18/06 08:4
Export source file . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : QSRVSRC
Library . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : ROUTINES
Export member . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : SRVPGM
Export source stream file . . . . . . . . . . . :

But other than the brief comment in "what's new" the Knowledge Center
seems to be unaware of this. I've flooded the knowledge center with
comments. Including that "what's new" page.
