Getting them into CL may be a bit of work.
Tried a COMMON request to get CL to have imbedded SQL support and they could see no possible reason why CL would ever need to get information about any particular job and that tasks like that should be left up to HLL's like RPG. They rejected my request. I would suggest submitting an RFE to IBM instead.

I have a utility that finds locks and then ends those jobs.
99% of the jobs end LT 5 seconds.
If the job is a JVM job, I've seen it take 2 to 3 minutes to end.
Is there a way to tell if the job requested to end immed has ended?
I'd like to add loop to this process and DLYJOB until the jobs have ended.
