What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to code my first global error
handler in a LANGUAGE SQL stored procedure but am getting error: Keyword
BEGIN not expected. Valid tokens: :. What is the correct syntax? I've
tried looking this up online but I'm not finding an understandable
example. Thanks.

DECLARE EXIT HANDLER FOR SQLEXCEPTION SQLWARNING
BEGIN
GET CURRENT DIAGNOSTICS CONDITION 1 CURSTATE = RETURNED_SQLSTATE;
<...etc...>
SIGNAL SQLSTATE ERRCODE SET MESSAGE_TEXT = STR1;
END;

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
