I believe you can use rsh like ssh x11 forwarding, but I only use ssh.
Basically run xterm on your ibmi and display it on your local linux or
xming desktop

I might get upset about rexec too, but the link points to X11 /
XWindows. Rexec isn't X11, is it? Is the CVE some confusion over port
numbers?
