LOL - I would never make assumptions based on LUW - BTW there is also a Z version of DB2, and that also does not necessarily use the same syntax.

The most likely place to get documentation of IBM i database stuff is developerworks - yes, there is LUW and Z stuff there - and they are not to be used at all for documentation of IBM i DB2 features.
