I think they dropped support for 6.1 because one, it was old, and two,
they are dropping support for JDK 6 after 7.2. The highest jdk that 6.1
could run is 6.


Would like to move to a more modern JVM and remove deprecated JVMs from our
IBM i servers, but I'm not at all clear about software dependencies-
especially with IBM provided software. JDK 6 is required Navigator for i
per their web site.

If IBM had specified JDK 6 or more recent, I'd be a bit more confident
about moving to JVM 7/8.
