Highly probable I started from Scott's source- I did mention him in the
refered to post.

Program containing the procedure has been running since 2011, so I'm a bit
foggy as to whether the source came from the SK website or code published
in a Penton/Duke magazine (iProDeveloper,SystemiNews...)

I looked up your code on Code400.
That is exactly the same solution I've used. Correct me if I'm wrong
but that is almost exactly what Scott Klement's solution looks like.
I was about to post the same thing. Turned it into a service program
and called it MKD5R4. Works well.
