We are in the middle of changing the domain name for our internal network. Some windows network servers are still on the old domain name and some are on the new domain name. I want to use QNTC to access one of the servers on the new domain. Currently, NetServer is configured to use the old domain. We don't use QNTC to access any servers currently, so I'm not worried about that. I know that mapped drives in Windows to the IFS also use NetServer. My question is, if I change NetServer to use the new domain, will this have any impact on existing mapped drives to the IFS? Will they have to redo those mappings? We are on V7R1.
