If they're afraid to touch the IBM i, do what I did:



1. Write a CL program that re-enables the user profile, sets the
password to abc123, and sets the profile to *EXPIRED. The incoming parameter
is the user profile. Make sure the proper authorities are associated with
the CL program.

2. Write a little SEQUEL script that prompts the network kids for the
user profile. The SEQUEL script calls the CL program.

3. The last part of the SEQUEL script sends an email to the user with
the note that the profile is re-enabled, the password is abc123, and they
will be prompted to pick a new password when they log on again.



This should take no more than 15 minutes, and then you can place the icon
for the script onto the network PC's

We get a LOT of users who gets their ID disabled. and they fill out a help

desk ticket

then i have to enable.

Well at the moment we are short staffed. Only I can do this but we have

network guys on staff. And I am supposed to take vacation soon.



Could they make a change to a USer profile ID file from sql server?
