Well, for some APIs you can create a CDO and use that in a CLP.

IIRC, I did that for the Retrieve Request Message API, but also for the QCAPCMD API (I use this one in stead of QCMDEXC, which Buck mentioned).

Speaking of which, I could have sworn Chuck recently wrote something
about a command processor he wrote in Rexx way back when.
