RE: Applying updates to IBM i

Aaron,

I've actually done this using an AJS job, runs every other Tuesday afternoon - 15:30
The latest hyper groups are released every other Tuesday morning.
Also created a job to gather and summarize all PTF cover letters waiting to be applied.
The resulting spoolfiles are auto emailed using InfoPrintServer.

like you requested. See QSYS2.GROUP_PTF_CURRENCY. It will compare

Various vendors will also list PTF's. Domino, Infor, etc.

Question: Is there a tool that lists your currently installed IBM i
software and whether there are updates for it? I'd imagine such a
tool would be in IBM Systems Director Navigator for i, but
unfortunately it isn't working on this particular system (Server 500 error).

But maybe fix central works better now.
