Been through both QuickStart and Startup Guide but with all the options I
may be missing the steps.

Run a session.
Save it - this will create a .hod file.

Make the shortcut to the .hod file. Mine looks like
X:\Software\IBM_i_Access_Client_Solutions\Start_Scripts\Windows\acslaunch.js
C:\Users\buck\Documents\IBM\iAccessClient\Emulator\HODData\localuser\buck.hod

The X: drive is a network share.

The contents of my .hod files are all plain text; 370 lines worth.
