RE: Column titles/text with SQL WorkBench

I have a Linoma GoAnywhere project that I can generically pass a PF name to and it will populate a CSV file and, using SYSCOLUMNS, add a header row that is very descriptive.

But, the CSV format has its' own issues that SQL Workbench seems to overcome with save as XLS.

Linoma has XLS output but, depending on the # of records, the performance is not so hot.

May just need some scripting or such on the SQL Workbench side.

Hmmm - that’s an issue I have too.

I had thought about trying to come up with something using the sys tables but my SQL is not good enough for that kind of fancy stuff - although I can do it using a separate SQL statement in my Open Access handlers so I guess that will probably do.

I'm using SQL Workbench for a number of data extractions where I need to save the results as XLS.
I haven't found a way to get the column text or titles in lieu of the column names. Does anyone know a way to do this?
