I'm converting an FTP script job to SFTP using PASE.
User, passwords, ip, etc all remain the same, from what the vendor has told us.
I'm receiving the below error message.
No user exists for uid 356
Is there a reason a user would work for FTP and not SFTP.

Thank You

Many years ago, about 2000, I used vsftp via PASE. It did not work, and it was a message simmilar your.
The solution of this problem was ... to create ASCII text file /etc/passwd on AS/400 and adding to this file the username with all fields.
