RPG called recursively when job is running batch

Has anyone ever experienced this error:
Message . . . . : PGMA was called recursively.

Cause . . . . . : RPG procedure PGMA in program PGMA called itself
or another procedure which then called procedure PGMA. Recovery . . . :

Contact the person responsible for program maintenance to determine the

cause of the problem.


We are doing an upgrade to a new iseries and this job always worked fine,
but now we are getting this error. The job runs in batch when this error
occurs. I have tried debug but the error does not seem to happen in
interactive mode.
