Hi to the Gurus,

Hello Frigyes

Rumours are that Client Access will be discontinued on V7R2, iSeriess Access Client Solutions replaces it. Does it mean that I can not connect to a machine on V7R2 by using (the old) Client Access?

Have a look at http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/i/access/windows.html

They write that there is no plan to support this software for Windows beyond 8.1
So, my understanding is that "IBM i Access for Windows" will no longer be updated.

They also write that there is no refresh in 7.2, but "IBM i Access for Windows" 7.1 will connect to any supported IBM i release. In my opinion, this is supposed to let us enough time for migration to "IBM i Access Client Solutions".
