c# developers found it in a couple minutes. Session not being closed. It
took a new user with less authority, establishing a new connection early
morning to cause this issue. Her session reused (with her profile) by later
users with the authority to the group profiles used in CRTUSRPRF. Power i
never saw the actual user making the CRTUSRPRF request.
Thanks for the help

I've had an initial discussion with a c# developer for this app, and he is
unaware of any pooling, but they are using connection modules developed by
previous (and now long gone) coders. This one application is user sensitive
on the Power i side, where as everything else they develop (that I can
think
of) is secured by Win profile tables (by customer and levels within
customer). Tomorrow I can pursue this with the other developers.
Thanks to all for the details in sorting this out.
