Do you have the message queue QSYS/QSYSMSG. Simply the existence of this
message queue will duplicate "critical" messages from QSYSOPR to there.
Messages like:
Subsystem QINTER varied off work station SCN00CB18 for user ...
(We only disable the session, not the user profile.)

Check DSPLOG for around that time and you may see messages like
Warning. Device SCN00CB18 varied off while in session.
Vary off completed for device SCN00CB18.
Subsystem QINTER varied off work station SCN00CB18 for user ...
