Vernon just pointed me to this Gem: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1020089

However I see an issue that hopefully someone who has already set this up can enlighten me on.

It says: NTLM and NTLMv2 authentication with session security enhancements

But then further down it says this:

General Limitations:
Kerberos and Active Directory integration are not compiled in. The requisite packages for the Kerberos and LDAP support that are freely available for AIX 7.1 are not compatible with the PASE environment.

So I'm confused, it first says they have NTLM / NTLMv2 authentication (implies active directory), but then list it as a limitation.

Then further down which makes me believe it truly doesn't work with active directory I see:

4) Use the Samba 'pdbedit' command to add Samba server users:
pdbedit -a <user>

Is the user account an IBM I user account or a active directory domain account in the form of DOMAIN\username?

Confused, documentation is not so good on IBM's site.
