Rob, I found another example of a script I use to get a list of lpars on all managed servers connected to an HMC.
No need to know the managed server name.

the following works after you "ssh -T" to your HMC from QSH screen

lssyscfg -r sys -F name | sort | while read mngsys;
do lssyscfg -r lpar -F lpar_id,name,state,lpar_env -m $mngsys
| sort -n | sed 's/^/'$mngsys',/'; done
