The OP asked about DB2/400.

We'll have to go back and see when that was dropped and if any of the
suggestions, which work on DB2/UDB, or DB2 for i, were supported back
then.

Not to come off sounding like Trevor but JHHL does have an affinity for
the older versions of the OS. So, I hope I didn't throw anyone into a
heart attack.
