Jim, somehow I don't get a shortcut that way - I in fact get a move unless I hold the CTrl key as I drag. Normally in Windows, if I hold the Alt key, it'll make a shortcut - that also makes a copy on my laptop - Win 7 64 bit Enterprise - with maybe some stuff that the company puts on it.

I'd be happy to try again - please give me detailed steps, cuz nothing I do gets me a shortcut.

Thanks
Vern

Vern, that IS a shortcut. I just did it to prove it.

Thx, Paul

Tried that - if I just drag it (left-click) it pulls the file out the ACS
location and puts it on the desktop - it's a move. If I press Ctrl while
doing this, it's a copy. That's like what Jim recommended.

There's no way to get a true shortcut from the Session Manager that I can
see. Time for an RFE!

Vern, regarding shortcuts, from the 5250 Session manager I just click
and drag (instead of right-click and drag). This seems to make
shortcuts just fine.

Hi all

-snip-
8. Oh, yeah, from the 5250 manager window, we can't right-click and
drag to make shortcuts - I could do that in the fat client, as I recall.

NOW that's about enough for now!!

Cheers
