Most of the API's don't dump stuff to a file. They usually feel this
causes twice the I/O or some such thing. Think about it, you read from
whatever the API is reading from. You write it to a file. You read it
again from a file. Why? Well, because you're used to reading from a
file. This thought being some separate of duties or some such thing. Like
you have this gal who is willing to learn who has no problem using an API
and will read and then write it to file for the guy who is counting down
the days until retirement and just wants to read from a traditional file.

Cut out the wasted I/O and bypass the intermediate file.

But, getting back to your original question. Is there a way to read
directly from DSPLOG? Yes.
