Do you have ASMI access? you might be able to change it there. there are a
lot of values that can only be changed when the system is off. but maybe
you can modify those...

The P & T refer to the firmware version of the service processor
(Permanent & Temporary - think of an A/B side IPL of the system). I do
recall having to update it once at IBM's request to fix a problem.
Change the V=H to V=F and I believe you're good-to-go.


Hmm. And near as I can tell, at least for a non-HMC box, the IPL speed can
only be changed with the system shut down cold. Which means we're stuck
having to remember to change it back to "F" at the next re-IPL. Which could
be months from now.
