Re: LTO 7 availability date

Don't know if any of you remember Adam Osborne. He was a columnist who went
into hardware manufacturing and produced the first portable laptop running
CPM called the Osborne..

He was speaking at a conference and he told the audience that when someone
told you that something will be available the 4th quarter you always ask
which year. When he finished speaking he was taking questions from the
audience and someone asked him when this such and such was going to be
available for the Osborne and you said in the 4th quarter and this big
booming voice called out :"What year".

No, but I will need to order tapes within the next 6 months.
Currently running LTO 5.
LTO 7 would do wonders, both performance and capacity in the library.

Let me guess, you're also running LTO4 and discovered that they won't work
for the new multipathing? And, if you're going to upgrade you want to be
on the latest?
We've decided that our reliability is acceptable as is.

But, no, I've no idea when LTO 7 support will come to IBM i.
