Need much more info:
Are these all local connections, or is TN5250 a remote (thru the firewall)
connection.
Is this a restricted profile trying to connect?
What error message or behavior is seen?
Is there a device id in the TN5250 not valid?
Is sysval QAUTOCFG on?
Has the QAUTOVRT max been reached to assign a new virtual device?
Is the device name specified and is varied off?
many more possibilities...

We've got a customer with a weird problem on a new box.

It's rejecting TN5250 connections. And yet somehow, they CAN get a CA 5250
session to it.

Is there some other way the CA terminal emulator can connect, besides
TN5250?

Or could it be that the connection that works is going through that
special dedicated port used for LAN Console?
