Thanks, this helps. BTW, I DID run the GO LICPGM option 5 and DID see that this LPP was not there. I WRONGLY assumed that it didn't matter and that it would just be like other LPP's for example 5733XT2 which was also on that list of missing items.

What it all boils down to is this:

It's not on the generic supplied media.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_72/rzahc/rzaskMediaContent.htm?lang=en-us

It should have came on a separate 'F' disc as outlined in the section:
3. F_MULTI_NLV
This media contains some additional programs, products, single licensed programs, or options.

Perhaps you forgot to load that. Perhaps your BP forgot to order that for you. But YOU did forget to run the appropriate options in GO LICPGM 5. Prepare for install

Either find the disc, or order it from ESS (Entitled Software Support) at:
https://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/ess/ProtectedServlet.wss

Reapply PTFs.

I'm upgrading a system from V7R1 to V7R2 and 5770SS1 option 26 DB2
Symmetric Multiprocessing shows as *BACKLEVEL. I can't find much useful
information, why isn't this just a V7R1 level option that runs on V7R2?
How do I get a compatible version for V7R2? Will the product function in
its current state on V7R2? Thanks.
