We had similar problems until we change the password rules on iSeries to allow mixed case passwords. Even then we continue to get netserver profiles that get disabled if the passwords do not match. Users who get their iSeries passwords the same as their windows passwords never have an issue. Those that want them different have continuous problems. I have always thought this was Windows drive mapping always attempting to use the Windows password to make the mapping connection and the number of times it will retry when it fails. But I have never been able to confirm that is the issue.

It's an issue between Winblows & the OS. Mixed case passwords are a major pain but here's a link to some info from IBM

We use a directory on the IFS to write various files to. The folder is in a share on the root. The users who need these files have a mapped drive.
We changed our password rules for windows to include mandatory upper/lower case. iSeries does not have this rule (yet, I'm still pushing). Since then, we have had nothing but problems with the users with mapped drives.
They can't get to them.

I however, have not changed my password yet and still access my mapped drive. I am also operating under an older version of Client Access. The people who cannot access have the newer 7.1 version.

Is this a Client Access issue ? or the disconnect in the passwords ?

Thanks,
