AMEN Brother!

ALmost every use I see is 'Because we've always done it that way.' Actually changing code to work with IFS instead is rarely hard to do. Frequently the problem is a vendor who 'didn't get the memo' and doesn't see the need to change.

Can I get an Amen?

We could debate on the pros and cons of Snads but not on QDLS. Drop it,
kill it, stomp it. Call any vendor who still uses it on the carpet and
tell them to stop hoarding your maintenance money and get their crap the
heck out of there.
- 8.3 file naming causes all sorts of issues, like trying to right click
and select 'New' when you have a drive mapped to it.
- single threaded
- whole separate litany of commands like CPYTOPCD vs CPYTOIMPF (and don't
get me started on that one).
