Having issues printing to HP M601 (Enterprise LaserJet). It is in the IBM
list of supported printers.
Writer starts, spool goes to status PND and no further till writer ended.
This was a replacement of existing HP4050 LaserJet. Stopped working with
previous printer (mechanical) and replacement, with same ip has never
worked.
Have tried snmp or pjl driver (and also a lpr test), and the 3 recommended
models.
The remote office (client site) admin keeps saying the "HP Universal Print
Driver is loaded" (which is not mentioned on the IBM page for HP Printers
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1019534 )
Is this possibly our issue?
Currently through a JetDirect EW2500 (wireless), but we have tested direct
to printer nic and had same issue.
We are not aware of any firewall or routing changes when new printer put
in.
Other "non IBM Power i "servers (win and Linux in other locations) are
printing to this printer, but not Power i.
We talk to dozens of other HP printers in offices across US in same
corporate network (this one is Minneapolis).
*AFPDS spooled file.
V7R1 and late 2013 cume (i know..)
Ping is disabled at the firewall (client's network requirement)
Have attempted a LPR definition w/simple text print, but same failure.
