After reading your alert I took the risk updating Java from 8.25 to 8.31 on
Win 8.1.
I have no problems starting my sessions, session manager and administration.

Emne: IBM I Access Client Solutions problems with Java

One of my coworkers has the IBM I Access Client Solutions on his Win 8.1
laptop.
Yesterday he updated Java to 8 update 31.
Now he can no longer open this program. No errors just blips and is gone.
He has tried the 64 bit and the 32 bit versions with the same results.

I updated the same java update yesterday on a win 7 machine but have not had
the same issues with the IBM I Access.

Anybody encountered this or have any ideas how to diagnose/fix the issue.
