Yeah, this is very cool stuff - you can go directly to displaying or editing user spaces, not using WRKLNK, by using either DSPF or EDTF with the IFS path name of the user space.

Editing - yes, Rob nicely gives fair warning - you need to know what is there - and if you are dealing with non-displayable stuff, it's going to be tough sledding. And much of what goes into a user space is binary values or packed values or that kind of thing.

Things that are only regular characters are easily edited, though.

Wow, thanks Rob, I didn't know you could do that!

I think I would go with the other suggestions.
But if you like skirting the edge of disaster try this command:
wrklnk '/qsys.lib/yourlib.lib/yourusrspc.usrspc'
Then you can do 5 to view it. So far pretty safe. But that 2 to edit...

Good afternoon colleagues,

In a CL program there is a command, RUNIQ. It runs an object with type,
*USRSPC, and attribute, IQ_QRY.

It seems to handle distribution of reports.

A friend has to modify it but he doesn't see how.

Have you ever seen this?

Regards,

Peter Vidal
