I prefer to use FTP instead of SNDPTFORD. Since I work remotely for clients
who have minimal iSeries expertise, I can never trust that the ECS service
is configured.

SNDPTFORD PTFID((SF99711 *ONLYPRD *ONLYRLS)) also now working, time was
still quite long, 3 hours.

A slight clog may still remain.

Well, that was fun. I downloaded the TR9 package, and it installed
correctly. Then I re-ran all the other ptf's and they went through with no
further hanging up.

When I called the IBM guy working my PMR, he said, "Once in a while, ya
gotta resort to the old boiling water to unclog a toilet trick."

:-)

Sorry for the delay, but I waited to call until the Boulder folks answer the
phone.

I saw garbage, as did the IBM guy when we did a webex. He asked me to
download the TR9 package and try it separately.

It's downloading now. I'll keep you posted.

What did you see here?

What you really need to do is find out why. The normal steps are GO LICPGM

and,
WRKJOB SCPF
and look at that joblog.
