I have an AJS scheduled job, runs every day, only 5 minutes (SSD drives), RTVDSKINF, followed by PRTDSKINF.
10 QSYS/RTVDSKINF
20 QSYS/PRTDSKINF RPTTYPE(*LIB) LIB(*ALL) OWNER(*ALL) FLR(*ALL) OBJ(*NONE) OBJTYPE(*ALL) MINSIZE(0) SORT(*SIZE).

1) Creates a 14 page report, which is total system summary, all library summary, IFS totals only, no details.
These are all kept, for system and library growth analysis.
2) QAEZDISK is loaded for any options that may need to be run from 4. Disk space tasks 2. Print disk space information
3) This also will report any damaged object on the system.

I revisited the QAEZDISK file, there is actually an entry for every IFS item, but no name, text description *NOLIB.
Object Library
Object
Parent Folder
Object Type STMF
Object Attribute
Object Size 8192
Text Description *NOLIB

I'm now considering similar logic for RTVDIRINF to get IFS detail info.

1) Why does RTVDIRINF take 2 hours instead of 5 minutes for RTVDSKINF?
2) If I run RTVDIRINF, do I really need RTVDSKINF?
3) RTVDIRINF doesn't replace the files, it creates new ones, so either plan to manage these or delete before running.
4) Is there a better option?

Thank You
