Why do you think the machine is dying?

ILE has been with us for twenty years and we are lucky if we have 10% using
ILE. which is so superior to RPG III monolith it is not even funny.

My own personal experience with that is one programmer in all the
programmers I have worked with in 20 years.

development environment for Microsoft OS.



How many is actually using these foreign technologies on IBM I, how many
are running PHP, Ruby or Node on IBM I? I doubt that it is a majority or
even a big number of IBM I installations!

I appreciate your experience with apparently hundreds of RPG shops, and
value your perspective, along with that of all the participants in this
