For years I've always had to "install" the fix pack that was "installed" with the Group PTF. I got to the point where that was step X in my PTF installation procedures.

Subject: WTH is up with IBM updating existing group ptf levels?

Now it is no longer acceptable to do a WRKPTFGRP and know that you are at level xx for group SFyyyyy. IBM is updating existing levels of groups and rereleasing them. For example:
SF99363: 710 WebSphere App Server V7.0
PTF Group Level: 16
Last Updated: 10/13/14
How to Display: WRKPTFGRP SF99363
Description: **WARNING** Update and changes made to Group PTF on
10/13/14
Added 7.0.0.35 Group PTF for V7R1
Note: The group PTF delivers fix pack 35 for version 7.0.
Additional steps are required to install the fix pack after applying the group PTF.

And even though WRKPTFGRP shows
PTF Group Level Status
SF99363 16 Installed

I ran SNDPTFORD SF99363. After that I ran WRKPRB 5=Display details F9=Display PTFs and I have a bunch of these to load and apply.

This is unacceptable!!!!
