As to the install process needing work or not working like Apple users
aren't used to, well, it doesn't work like Windows does either. I suspect
that IBM got tired of Windows Installer getting so complicated and
requiring so much authority that they gave up. The old IBM i Access for
Windows hasn't been able to roll out an upgrade easily via Check Service
Level for quite some time due to all the changes in Windows. IBM tried to
work with it with technotes and what not but no longer. Enough was
enough. I really doubt that IBM is going to take a package that's
supposed to run on multiple platforms and make the installation look more
like what Apple users are use to.
