You've got the pieces but some thoughts.

1) The image catalog object in QUSRSYS is redundant really in this setup. The images as you know are in the IFS and the QIMGCLG file contains what's in the image catalog. So if you have the entire directory and then do CRTIMGCLG with IMPORT(*YES) the QUSRSYS object will be created instantly and in it's entirety.

2) The virtual optical device (e.g. OPTVRT01) can't be saved and restored. OK it restores, but the virtual device that supports it won't be there and it won't vary on. So you need to use CRTDEVOPT on the HA system to create it there.

So mostly that leaves you the images themselves. So depending on the technology the replication software uses you need to assure that those objects are replicated. Clearly these are the big bulk of the bytes anyway.
