Many thanks for all your help, particularly the panel group instruction summary. I can't believe I've been writing CL and commands since 1988 and NEVER put real help-text in a command.
Previously I've coded a '*HELP' special value for the CPP to process, it's ok but a bit Heath Robinson (not heard of him, check him out on Wikipedia).
