From the manual:
"As the name implies this product was originally written as an sFTP client.
Since then we've had a huge number of requests to get the product to
support regular FTP and particularly FTP over TLS and SSL (otherwise known
as FTPs). While in some way this is a little regressive since the demand is
more clearly for sFTP we completely understand why you like the scripting
capabilities and want to have all of your FTP done in one place with one
tool. So here it is: ARP-SFTP now supports FTP and FTPs too."

The free *BASIC license gives you sFTP. The paid *FULL license gives you
sFTP,, FTP, FTPs along with additional session logging and file tracking
features.

Arpeggio does standard FTP and FTPs also... you just have to pay for it.
(Which you want to do anyway).

My boss is searching for a commercial product we can use to manage our FTP
Primary requirements are:

* iSeries friendly
*supports detail FTP error detection: for example we want to know if the
connection
is successful and be able to re-try/re-schedule if not
*supports 'standard' FTP: the main site we send/receive with does not use
SFTP

We have Arpeggio on our list: but it seems exclusively for SFTP ?

We also have Linoma Software on our list: any comments ?
