Do I have to substring this out and convert to binary?

Makes me wonder if there's an SQL 'service' for that. Sort of like these:

Of course, we could add that, and the software vendors might take
advantage of it in two decades, after they finally drop support for some
ancient version that doesn't have that new sql service.
