Stephen, I still don't see Program Associated Spaces might have anything to
do with the problem. But feel free to test your theory.

I'm glad that IBM takes pains to keep SYSROUTINES in sync with the actual
objects referenced therein. Do you suspect a failure on IBM's part?

It seems to me that there are a lot of "object" management commands under
IBM i which could "break" object references in the system catalogs,
including SYSROUTINES.
