Many of us use the term RSE because it is the only part of the tool set naming that IBM hasn't changed. RSE appeared first as part of WDSC, which then got renamed as RDI, which changed to RDP which changed back to RDi.

It is just simpler to use a single term. The current (and future version if we are really lucky) is RDi.

The cost of RDi, is not astronomical. It compares with other editors with support. It is well worth the money. I would push management for the budget to purchase.

As the programmers use more of the new features, the SEU syntax checking frozen at 6.1 is becoming a bigger issue.

RDI was tabled due to cost justification.
