To be fair, you didn't say which version. Visual Basic lives on as a
.NET language, with language updates at least as recent as 2012.
Also, I don't really buy any argument that *solely* relies on some
number of years as the rationale for saying that something is too old,
especially when it comes to programming languages, but that's another
topic.
