I have the SSHD logging configured and working, production and r&d.
There is an issue that an SSH client request into the iSeries does not always generate a message at QSYSOPR.
I'm using this message as a trigger, (MPLUS), but in its absence, the email/page will not appear.
Does anyone have info on SSH client requests and/or intermittent QSYSOPR messages.

Thanks
Paul

Per IBM support, a remote SSH request was made with no key.
There is an optional SSH log for incoming requests, Doc # N1014301. (The SSHD Can Use the UNIX Syslog Facilities for Logging) Does anyone have this logging setup on their iSeries?

I have no idea if this helps or not.

I was able to connect, via ssh, to a desktop computer. The CMOS battery was removed from the desktop computer and replaced after a minute. Then, I could not connect with ssh, as the desktop generated a new key. Once that key was imported, into the computer I was using, I could connect again.

I found this, which is Ubuntu. May not be relevant.

But, the above link and my experience with Linux has me wondering if something similar happened to your system. Did some component get replaced or have power removed for an extended period of time? Thus remote sites now no longer have valid public keys to your system?

Wild guess.

Also, MPLUS auto notified (email and/or text) of the above failure.
